Welcome to City Fresh!

City Fresh is a nonprofit program of the New Agrarian Center (NAC) that seeks to build a more just and sustainable local food system in Northeast Ohio.

..::Join us for 2012 by ordering your CSA shares here!::.

City Fresh is a movement of volunteers, farmers, youth and community members committed to local food and health in our community. We meet the needs of both urban and rural communities by improving access to fresh, locally grown food for urban residents and increasing marketing opportunities in the city for local farmers.

Our program impacts the local food system through the development of neighorhood food centers called Fresh Stops. These volunteer-driven food distribution hubs act as nutrition education centers, community gathering points, and convenient locations to purchase in-season fruits and vegetables grown within 100 miles or less.

In 2011, we delivered over 13,000 shares in North East Ohio, which directly contributed more than $160,000 to the local foods economy.

2012 is shaping up to be our biggest season yet. In addition to opening several new locations around North East Ohio, we have acquired a new, refridgerated truck that opens up the possibility of providing free-range eggs and handcrafted cheeses from small, local farmers. A new distribution system will streamline our back-end services to ensure a steady supply of the quality produce more than 1,500 families in our region have come to love.
