2011 Holiday Shares

Tuesday, November 15 and Tuesday, December 20!
2 Cleveland locations, east and west sides.

It's almost the end of our growing season here in NE Ohio - but for all of us in the City Fresh network, that doesn't mean an end to local food. Join us again this year for our Holiday Share offerings - delivered to two locations in Cuyahoga County - Coventry Library in Cleveland Heights and Urban Community School in the Ohio City neighborhood.

The Holiday Share is a one-size, $28.00 family share bag of local produce that includes fruits and vegetables that are grown in hoop houses or that store well, including: greens, potatoes, sweet potatoes, squashes, apples, onions, garlic, cabbages, and value added products like whole wheat flour, dry beans, apple butter, pepper butter and more!

Sign up at your Fresh Stop before the end of our regular season, or download the order form and mail with your payment to our PO Box listed no less than 10 days prior to pick up. Limited income shares are available!

ALL NEW SHAREHOLDERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO PLACE YOUR ORDER at your local Fresh Stop. Mailing in to the PO Box during season can result in unexpected delays.

City Fresh is a not-for-profit CSA, or community supported agriculture program. Our customers act as shareholders, purchasing in advance a share of the produce from over 20 local, small farms within 70 miles of your neighborhood.

We bring the produce to nearly 20 Fresh Stop markets in Cuyahoga, Summit, and Lorain Counties each week, and the shareholders pick up this produce from their preferred location. The Fresh Stop markets are entirely run by volunteers, and City Fresh is the only CSA which operates in the urban core and in other areas which are predominantly low-income. We are also the only that offers a limited income share price, the only to offer week-to-week ordering without additional fees, and the only to accept the Ohio Direction Card.

Each week, the shareholder will also pay for their next week's order right at the sign-in table.

2011 Share Prices:

Week-to-Week vs Full-Season Shares:

One of the unique features of the City Fresh CSA model is that we allow you to purchase your share on a week to week basis, rather than requiring you to make a large investment of several hundred dollars at the beginning of the growing season. However, if you are in a position to purchase a full-season share, or multiple weeks at a time, please know that your advance order will greatly help us fulfill our mission and expand our ability to bring quality produce into urban food deserts where fresh food is needed and appreciated most.

Full Season Family Price: $560
Full Season Limited Income Family Price: $320
Full Season Single Price: $300
Full Season Limited Income Single Price: $180
